Make sure your microphone is connected and selected as the default input device.

The microphone icon isn't responding.

Try refreshing the page, closing other tabs, and testing your microphone (see your device setup guide).

Check that ImmerseMe has permission to use the microphone in your browser and device settings.

Tips for Best Results

Speak clearly and at a natural pace.

  • Use a quiet room.
  • Keep the microphone close.
  • Avoid talking too softly or too loudly.
  • Use headphones when possible.

Check that your IME (e.g. Pinyin, Japanese) is enabled.

6. Browser & Permissions

Permission or browser-related issues

Permission is blocked or grayed out.

Your device or school settings may restrict microphone access. Contact your teacher or IT administrator.
