How do I request the mobile version of ImmerseMe on iPad?

For optimal performance, ImmerseMe requires iOS 13. Some late model devices running iOS 10-12 are capable of using ImmerseMe but may experience issues with lagging and rendering quality, which have been fixed in iOS 13. Devices running iOS 9 and earlier, will not be able to use ImmerseMe.

This article will assist you in progressing past the pop-up displayed in the image below that users may sometimes find when accessing ImmerseMe on an iPad running iOS 13.

The browser will request access to your microphone, even though we aren't going to access the lesson immediately it is important you select Allow so that the website doesn't take you to a missing microphone page.

  8. Close the mobile version request pop-up.
If this pop-up shown below is behind the microphone access pop-up then we need to request the Mobile Version of the Website. Apple has been working on making the modern iPad very similar to a desktop device, so by default Safari loads up the desktop version of every site.
We can change this default setting by following the Permanent Fix instructions below. For now, we will just select Close and proceed to the next step (step 9) to reload the mobile version of the site.

  9. Request a mobile version of the website through the header.
Press the AA button at the left-hand side of the browser's header, this will drop down a menu that includes the option to Request Mobile Website. Select this option and the site will reload as a mobile website.

  10. Allow microphone access once more and select Start Lesson to progress to your immersive experience.

  11. If everything worked well, you should now be in an ImmerseMe 360-degree lesson. If you would like to stop this pop-up from happening again follow the tutorial below to permanently set this setting to mobile browsers by default. Enjoy your immersive experience!
