The Vocab mode is a comprehension test to check the student's familiarity with vocabulary. It consists of pre and post-tests for formative assessment.
Instructions

Go to the Sentence Builder lesson you'd like to learn. These lessons are labelled with a red SB tag, so it's easy to find.

You can have a quick look at the Vocab Preview to see details about the tests. For our example Sentence Builder lesson below, we can see that each test consists of 23 vocab items to answer. When you're ready to start the Pre-test, click the blue play button beside Pre-test.

You can also click Start Lesson and choose Vocab under Game Mode.

Select Pre-test, then click Play!

The sentence at the bottom will show a highlighted word or phrase, and the goal is to select the correct translation from the choices above. For this example, we're looking for the English translation of sehr.

Now, select the word / phrase that you think is the correct translation. For this example, we chose very, which is correct!

If you chose an incorrect answer, ImmerseMe will immediately tell you it's incorrect and will show the correct one. For this example, a bratwurst with curry ketchup is not the correct translation of begeistert. The right answer is excited.

Once the Pre-test is completed, it will be highlighted in green and your results will be shown in the Vocab Preview. You may now proceed to the Revision mode to revise the vocab item/s from the pre-test, click the button. For this example, we have 1 vocab item that needs to be revised.

When Revision is completed, it will be highlighted in green. Now, you can proceed to the Post-test, click the button.

Once you've completed your Post-test, it will be highlighted in green and the Vocab Preview will show your results.
