How do I troubleshoot my VR headset?

Oculus/Meta Quest

Controllers aren't interacting with the scene

This is an issue that can occur when headsets have multiple controllers interacting with our scene. The current framework we are using does not have support for multiple controllers so we encourage users to turn off one of their controllers and refresh the page. This can be done by holding down the Oculus logo.png button until the light on the controller is turned off.

If this method does not work, you can take the battery out of the controller as a last resort.

Microphone or speakers aren't working

If you find that there are input/output issues with your VR device, please ensure your audio settings are set up correctly. In the System Menu, go to Settings > Audio.

The audio output and input should be set to the headset default.

If the issue still persists, check if your computer's input and output are selected to the HTC Vive’s microphone and speaker. Select Settings > System > Sound and selecting the Vive multimedia device for both Output and Input.

Settings

If all of these computer settings have been configured, check if your browser is allowing ImmerseMe to access your microphone. Click the permissions icon on the left of your address bar, and make sure to select Allowed for both Use the Microphone and Access Virtual Reality Devices.
