Go to Menu ☰ > Teacher Dashboard.

Click MY TASKS from the left panel of the Teacher Dashboard.

Click + New Task either from the left panel or from the My Current Tasks section in the middle of the page.

Enter the key task details on the following fields:
➤ Title - enter your task title here
➤ Description - enter a message to your students, e.g. Learning outcome: By the end of this unit you will be able to use simple French to order food in a café
➤ Completion Definition - choose whether students have to complete a conversation once-through or all possible pathways within a lesson (most lessons have multiple pathways you can take through a conversation!)
➤ Language - choose the target language your students are learning
➤ Lesson Layout - choose from the default layout or a custom layout you may have requested such as a textbook title etc
➤ Start - select a start date and time (tick 'Start immediately' if you want it visible straight away)
➤ Due - select a due date and time

Now select the students/classes who you want to assign this task to and then select the lesson/s that you want them to complete (use the dropdown filter, 'Select All' and search box to help you with the selection). Once that's done, click Next.

Click Add Mode to select and assign learning modes to the task. The selected modes will then be added to the task. If you wish to remove any mode, click below the header. Click Assign or Assign & Email Students, and you’re all set!

Optional: If you wish to place a cap on the number of points that students are required to earn, enter a Points Target/Cap in the header OR enter a target for students individually. This will also update the Time Estimate (estimated time for completion), formatted as HH:MM:SS.

Once the task has been assigned, the students will see a new task notification (number in red) from the bell icon at the top right.
Clicking the bell icon will show a quick preview of the task. An email notification will also be sent to the students if you select Assign & Email during the task set up.

To go to the task, the students just need to select it from the bell icon at the top (or access it from the email notification). Here's what this task looks like in the Student Zone.

Back to the Teacher Dashboard we can monitor the results of students by clicking on your task under Current Tasks in the left panel.

Scroll down to preview a report showing each student's Score, Target Score, Percentage Completed, Time Active (HH:MM:SS), No. of Responses and Response Accuracy.

Click on a student's name to bring up an individual student report showing a breakdown of data per lesson within the task.

You may export the reports into a CSV file using the Export All Values button on the screen.
